The Early Learning Coalition is a 501©(3) organization created in statute in 1999 responsible for the provision of School Readiness child care assistance (subsidized child care) and Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten services with federal, state, and local funding. The Coalition partners with the Florida Department of Education, Division of Early Learning, to deliver early learning services in Santa Rosa County.

The Early Learning Coalition of Santa Rosa County seeks to assist parents by focusing on opportunities for the birth-to-kindergarten population to enhance their chances for educational success by participating in quality early learning programs that can better prepare children for school.

School readiness child care, including child care slot payments and eligibility services for infants through the age of 12

Provider services and support, including technical assistance, training and grants for child care providers

CLASS Assessments to analyze the quality of teacher-student interactions

Ages and Stages Questionnaires developmental and social/emotional screenings

Parent/child services including technical assistance and support for parents/caregivers

Support for fine art activities, mental health initiatives, and the purchase of books, toys, supplies and equipment to be used by child care providers

Voluntary pre-kindergarten oversight activities included provider recruitment and training, implementation, public awareness, administration, enrollment, monitoring and slot payments.
